It is reported that a group of popular figures, formerly from the JVP, are ready to join the Sri Lanka Freedom Party with President Maithripala Sirisena.
12 former Provincial Council Members, 04 former Provincial Council Presidents and 08 former Provincial Councilors are said to be among those who are tipped to crossover to the SLFP.
Around 61 members, including former JVP members and current strongmen of the Frontline Socialist Party, have already agreed to join hands with President Sirisena.
