Sri Lanka Customs officers have arrested three Indian nationals at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) after uncovering a large consignment of Kush cannabis during routine inspections.
Authorities said approximately 50 kilograms of the narcotic substance were seized, with the total value of the haul estimated at around Rs. 500 million. The detection was made shortly after the suspects arrived at the airport.The individuals, aged between 25 and 27, had traveled to Sri Lanka on a flight arriving from Bangkok. Further investigations are being carried out to identify possible links to an international drug trafficking network and to determine whether others were involved in the operation.
