The Attorney General (AG) has advised to appoint a five member committee for the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket until new officers are appointed from the next election.
This was in response to a protest by the Colts Cricket Club that claimed it was illegal for the SLC former staff to continue their work that was forwarded to the AG by Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa.
The AG has also informed that the term of office of the former officers ended on the 20th of February.
The election for the post of Sri Lanka Cricket is scheduled to be held on May 20, 2021.
