The Colombo High Court has ordered the removal of Daisy Forrest, the grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, from the money laundering case filed against both of them under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The order was issued after the court considered submissions indicating that Forrest was not in a mental condition suitable to stand trial.
Accordingly, the court ordered that she be released from the proceedings in the case.
The case against Yoshitha Rajapaksa will continue separately.
