Opposition Members of Parliament signed a motion of no-confidence against Speaker Dr Jagath Wickramaratne on Thursday at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
The signing was led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and attended by several opposition MPs, including representatives from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunathilaka told Lanka Leader that the motion sets out 49 allegations against the Speaker.
