The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that the water supply to several areas will be temporarily suspended tomorrow (29) due to maintenance work at the Udawalawe Water Treatment Plant in Ratnapura.
Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended for nine hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the following areas:
- Sankapala
- Panahaduwa
- Kolombage Ara
- 97th Mile Post area
- 98th Mile Post area
The Board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers due to the temporary interruption.
Consumers have also been requested to store water in advance and use it sparingly during the period of the interruption.
