Police have commenced an investigation following the discovery of the body of a 51-year-old man on an abandoned piece of land near Ilimba Junction in Horana.
According to police, the man was a resident of Pokunuwita. His body was found on land located across the canal, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
A magistrate’s inquiry is due to be held today (17) as part of the investigation into the incident.
The Horana Police are continuing investigations to establish the circumstances that led to the man’s death.
