A 32-year-old man has been arrested by the Police Special Task Force (STF) while allegedly transporting more than two kilograms of ‘Kush’ cannabis in a car in the Wanaguru Mawatha area of Hokandara.
The arrest was made during a raid carried out by the STF based on information received regarding the suspected transportation of narcotics.
During the operation, STF personnel recovered more than two kilograms of ‘Kush’ cannabis allegedly in the suspect’s possession.
According to the STF, the arrested man is a resident of Kalalgoda.
Further investigations are being conducted by the authorities into the incident.
