Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (05) for a one-day official visit aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Misri was received upon arrival by High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha, according to the Indian High Commission in Colombo.
During his visit, the Indian Foreign Secretary is scheduled to hold discussions with several senior Sri Lankan officials, including President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath.
The visit is expected to build on ongoing high-level engagements between India and Sri Lanka while advancing cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
The Indian High Commission stated that the discussions will contribute towards further strengthening the close and longstanding relationship between the two countries.
