A few showers are expected in parts of Sri Lanka today (25), according to the Department of Meteorology.
The department said that the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts, are likely to experience brief showers during the day.
Meanwhile, mainly dry weather is expected to prevail across the rest of the island.
The Department of Meteorology also warned that fairly strong winds with speeds of around 30–40 kmph can be expected at times over the Northern and North-Central provinces, as well as in the Hambantota, Trincomalee and Puttalam districts.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain aware of the prevailing weather conditions, particularly in locations expected to experience stronger winds.
