A 32-year-old man has been arrested with 56 litres and 250 millilitres of illegal liquor during a raid conducted by the Negombo Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody last evening (20) during an operation carried out in the Dalupotha area within the Negombo Police Division, based on information received by officers.
During the raid, police recovered 56 litres and 250 millilitres of illegal liquor stored in 75 bottles.
The arrested individual has been identified as a resident of the Kochchikade area, according to police.
Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Negombo Police.
