Students intending to sit for the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination have been urged to submit their applications before the final deadline, as the Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka announced that the online application process will officially close at 12:00 midnight today (24).
According to a statement issued by Commissioner General of Examinations A. K. S. Indika Kumari Liyanage, applications for the 2026 A/L Examination have been accepted exclusively through the department’s online platform since March 24, 2026.
The Department stressed that the application window will be fully closed after midnight tonight, making this the final opportunity for candidates to complete their submissions. Officials further emphasized that no extensions will be granted under any circumstances, underscoring the importance of meeting the stated deadline.
Candidates who have not yet completed the online process are strongly advised to do so without delay to avoid missing the opportunity to sit for the examination.
