The 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination is set to commence tomorrow (17), with hundreds of thousands of students preparing to sit for the nationwide assessment.
According to the Department of Examinations, a total of 451,463 candidates will appear for the examination at 3,545 centres across the island. The examination period will run from February 17 to February 26, 2026.
Commissioner General of Examinations A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage reminded candidates to report to their respective exam centres at least one hour before the scheduled starting time to ensure smooth proceedings.
Meanwhile, Professor Miyuru Chandradasa of the Faculty of Medicine, Ragama encouraged students to stay relaxed and composed as they approach the examination. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a calm mindset to help improve focus and performance.
