FCCISL all set to conduct the '24th Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year' awards

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL)is set to conduct the 24th Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the year Awards on the 25th of March at the BMICH Main Hall from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

This year's awards will be held under the theme - 'Innovation and Productivity for Sustainable Growth', reaching an important milestone of its journey towards developing resilient and strong Sri Lankan entrepreneurship.

FCCISL is happy to note that despite the turbulent business environment which was in existence last year due to the pandemic, a number of corporate entities engaged in social empowerment and businesses extended their support as sponsors to make this event a reality.

Speaking on the Strategic Partnership with FCCISL for the event, Dinesha de Silva, Country Representative of The Asia Foundation said, "We are happy to be the Principal Sponsor at this important event recognizing the continuous efforts of the FCCISL in uplifting entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka. We extend our warm wishes to Shirley Jayawardane, the first woman to lead the Federation, and acknowledge our longstanding association with her since her days at the Kandy Chamber of Commerce.”

Responding to the request of FCCISL to be strategic sponsors Ministry of Industries, Mobitel/Sri Lanka Telecom, Softlogic Life, Colombo Stock Exchange, JAT Holdings, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT), Sri Lanka Tourism, Learn for Life Lanka, Epic Lanka and Seiges Campus too joined the event. On behalf of the organizing committee, its secretary General/CEO Ajith D Perera expressed his sincere gratitude for all the sponsors who extended the support at this crucial juncture.

Even though the social distancing is a challenge, the organizing committee of the Entrepreneur Awards has taken every possible step to ensure a grand award ceremony and an evening with an excitement and satisfaction, Ajith D Perera added.

The event will be shown live in PEO TV Channel 20 - Event TV from 3 p.m. onwards.
